Chlorophyll printing reproduces images on leaves and grasses by harnessing the photosensitive properties of pigments (primarily green chlorophyll) that are naturally present in the cells of most plants. The process is simple: A positive black-and-white image is printed on a sheet of acetate (or similar transparent medium), loaded into a glass frame with a leaf and then exposed to sunlight.
